Colour, Shape and Texture
My name is Liz Meynell.
I use mainly Oils creating Works verging on the Abstract. I love vibrant colours and play with Shape and Texture in many forms. The subjects I try to describe vary from the Spiritual to Ethereal; Landscapes of the Imagination to Figurative. I work on occasion in other media, such as Gouache and Pastels and even on occasion, Acrylic. I am drawn often to beach-combing looking for discarded and natural materials to recycle into scenic or quirky moments to raise a smile of recognition!
I studied under Paul Messali in Switzerland, Simi Studio in Florence and Byam Shaw School of Art in London (now Central St Martins) and worked for a time at the College of Heralds.
